About Cahaba Secure

Grit, Protection, and Harvard Code.

On the surface, "Cahaba Secure" is a cybersecurity company. But at its heart, it's a translation service. I'm the "I" behind the "we," and I built this business because I've lived in three different worlds: high-stakes protection, the muddy trenches of a job site, and the world of high-level software development.

Most "IT guys" understand technology. They don't understand payroll, client deadlines, and the real-world cost of downtime. I built Cahaba Secure to be the bridge.

My Real-World Experience

  • My background is in proactive defense... I've designed and installed high-end alarm systems, a job with one mission: protect a client's most valuable asset. The method was always the same: first, find and secure all the tiny, unseen holes (vulnerabilities), then install a system to 'keep threats out.' I learned that a physical threat and a digital threat operate the same way—they both look for the one unlocked window you forgot about.
  • My sales philosophy is to "serve"... My role in protecting homes was built on relationships, not transactions. The word "sales" actually comes from a root word meaning "to serve." I bridged the gap between sales and service, because I wasn't just selling a product; I was building long-term trust and retention with the customers I was dedicated to protecting.
  • I was a construction subcontractor... I didn't start at the top. I started at the bottom, cutting wet tile in the freezing rain. I worked my way up to remodeling kitchens and bathrooms on my own. I know what "a bad day" really costs a small business, and I have the grit to see a complex, messy job through to the end.

The "Aha Moment"

I knew I had the business-owner grit and the service-first mindset. I needed the world-class technical skills to match.

So, I became a Harvard-certified developer to build a deep foundation in how technology works. But it was earning my CompTIA Security+ certification that was the real "aha moment."

The Security+ framework connected all the dots. "Vulnerability scanning" was just 'checking the perimeter for unlocked windows.' "Managed services" was just 'activating the alarm system' to keep threats away. And the entire profession was built on the exact same service-and-trust relationship I had already mastered.

My mission is simple: I combine the grit of a contractor, the proactive defense of an alarm technician, the service-first mindset of a true protector, and the knowledge of an Ivy League developer. I don't just "manage your IT." I protect your business like it's my own.
